Koh Phangan Full Moon Party Reviews

I went there in February 2006 and it was a great experience. I stayed there for a month and a half and loved it. The beach is amazing, not to mention the Full Moon Party. There’s partying everyday. It has been the trip of my life, I highly recommend it to everyone.

I was at the FMP in May 2004. It is the paradigm of a beach party, with thousands of people dancing and drinking like crazy until dawn. The best party ever!

I have travelled through South East Asia extensively and this is the best party anywhere. After the first one some four years ago I have returned to the Orchid Bar many, many times for the best drum'n'bass night ever. So many happy people - a brilliant experience - especially watching the moon travel across the night sky whilst battered. Gotta love that full moon.

After waiting for years, I finally had the opportunity to go to the full moon party in October 2005. As soon as the sun went down I took a boat from the nearby island, Ko Samui, to Ko Phangan. The party had already started when I got there, and the beach was full of people from all over the world who were all looking to have a good time celebrating the full moon in Thailand. The beach was lined by a row of bars, each blasting a different type of music into the area of beach – so there were several different types of music to choose from. All night there were fire dancers scattered throughout the crowd, putting on amazing performances. Watching the fire dancers is the perfect way to rest and relax when you finally tire of dancing. The party continued all night and into the morning, well after the sun had come up and the full moon had disappeared. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys good dance music and partying on the beach until the sun comes up.
